| 内容記述 | 地産地消の推進，地域農業の活性化，新たな振興作物の開発，伝統的な食文化の保存などを目的に，伝統野菜の復活・振興が全国で取り組まれている。一方，伝統野菜はその定義が曖昧であり，地域性を保持しつつ生産振興を図ることは容易ではない。本論では，生産振興を果たした事例として埼玉県の「比企のらぼう菜」に着目し，その生産拡大の取り組みや課題について分析を行い，その結果から，伝統野菜の生産拡大の成功要因・課題および将来展望に対する提言を行った。本事例の成功要因としては，新規就農者（定年帰農者）や春先に出荷できる新たな品目を模索していた生産者の意向に合致したこと，当初から直売所ではなく市場出荷を志向していたこと，関係機関の連携やJA部会長のリーダーシップが効果的であったこと，厳格な種子生産および管理体制を構築したことなどが挙げられる。また，今後の課題としては次期リーダーの育成および新たな生産者の獲得が挙げられるが，定年帰農者への働きかけが有効であると結論づけた。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The efforts for regeneration and development of traditional vegetables have been observed throughout the nation. However, “traditional vegetable” is a loose term, and it is not easy to balance production expansion after retaining regionality. This study analyzes the success factors and challenges for production expansion of traditional vegetables by examining the case of “Hiki-Norabona” in Saitama prefecture. The survey results show 1) “Hiki-Norabona” appealed to the minds of those who returned to farming after retirement from a non-farm job (“Teinen-Kino” farmers) and those who looked for additional crops, 2) producers pursued a certain amount of the products to be sold at wholesale markets (not at farmers markets), 3) cooperation between relevant organizations and the leadership of the producers’ group is effective, and 4) a disciplined seed production and management practice was organized. The future challenge is to secure additional producers, and reaching out to “Teinen-Kino” farmers is thought to be a key to success. | |||||
