| 内容記述 | 「私的な空間である庭園の公共性」つまり,個人庭園を多くの市民が楽しみ,喜びを分かちあうという意味での公共性が議論される現代,「庭園」の持つ意味が歴史的な転換期を迎えている。ガーデニング・ブームにより,イングランドとウェールズにおいて活動しているナショナル・ガーデン・スキームによるオープンガーデンに関心が高まり,我が国でも11のオープンガーデン団体が形成されている。本報は,ガーデニング・ブーム以前よりオープンガーデンを開催し,大都市圏に位置した3つの庭園を先駆的事例として選び,それらを通じて我が国におけるオープンガーデンの意義と今後発展するであろうオープンガーデン運動の方向性を考察することを目的とした。研究対象は神奈川県横浜市の川口邸庭園(公開31年間),東京都国分寺市の渡辺邸庭園(公開17年間),大阪府大阪市の河合邸庭園(公開8年間)である。先駆的事例の考察の結果,オープンガーデンという市民の自主的な活動により,我が国においても私的な空間である個人庭園の公共的展開が可能であることを示唆していた。オープンガーデンは今後の発展によって,新たなアメニティ創出の計画的メニューのひとつとも位置づけられよう。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | The meaning of "garden" is facing a historical turning point, to become "a space of private garden open to the public". Thus, how the public takes pleasure and enjoyment in private gardens is being discussed at the present time. The gardening boom follows the Open Garden by the National Gardens Scheme in England and Wales, which became well known and 11 Open Garden Societies were established in Japan. The purpose of the research is to consider the meaning of Open Garden and the aim of Open Garden activity which would develop in the future in Japan by considering three pioneering cases, which have been opened to the public since before the gardening boom, and are located in the metropolitan area. The objects of study are Kawaguchi Garden in Yokohama City, Kanagawa (31 years open to the public), Watanabe Garden in Kokubunji City, Tokyo (17 years open to the public), Kawai Garden in Osaka City, Osaka (8 years open to the public). As a result of studying these pioneering cases, it was suggested to develop private gardens as public space in Japan through the system of Open Gardens which is an independent activity of the citizens.
