 note = {この拙論は,フィリップ・ラーキンの詩「かなり悪い事態」の三つの読み方を提示し,この詩の解釈の可能性,その広がりについて論考したものである。一般的に,この詩は日常的な失敗から自分の運のなさ,敗北感を感じるというごくありふれた内容によって,ラーキン的な運命論や宿命論を導き出している。しかしその奥には,詩作に行き詰まり癇癪を起こした詩人が,ふと我に帰り詩作の可能性を見出し,自分を鼓舞する詩とも解釈できる。さらにメタファやイメージを最大限に生かして拡大解釈すると,この詩は性的な内容に溢れ,自分の恋人達との性交の場面を描写している詩とも解釈できる。これら三つの解釈のどれが最もふさわしいかは,やはり読み手に委ねられてしまうわけではあるが,既述した読み方が進むに連れ,詩人の真意に近づいているのではないかと考えられる。, This paper presents three readings of Philip Larkin's 'As Bad As a Mile', and explores the possibility of interpretation of this poem. In general, this poem shows Larkin's fatalism through a common situation : a man experiences his poor luck or defeat through a common trying of his luck. However, this poem can also be interpreted as follows : the poet suffers from writers' block and loses his temper, but rediscovers creativity and finds encouragement. Furthermore, interpreted in metaphorical and symbolical ways, this poem can be regarded to contain many sexual meanings and to describe scenes of sexual intercourse between the poet and his two lovers. Although it is difficult for the readers to decide which is the best reading of the three, it seems that the last metaphoric and symbolic one is closer to the poet's intention., E, 9, KJ00005049283, 論文, Article},
